In an effort to further implement their latest operating system to a wider audience, Microsoft has pushed out Windows 10 as a recommended update to many users. Previously the Windows 10 update had been placed in the optional category up until early this year.
So what does that actually mean?
If your Windows Update settings are set to automatically install recommended updates, you could find yourself upgrading to Windows 10 automatically. Users have been complaining that Windows 10 began installing without any user interaction on their computers. Microsoft has said that users who are unhappy with Windows 10 will have 31 days to rollback to their previous operating system.
Users who do not wish to upgrade to Windows 10 should ensure that the “Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates” box is not checked on their Windows Update settings.
