Microsoft’s newest operating system launched yesterday and the early reviews are out. Windows 10 sought to combine the functionality of Windows 7 and 8 to create an OS designed to move seamlessly between desktops and mobile devices. Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 is supposed to be the last operating system they launch as all other updates will be dubbed as Windows 10 improvements from here on out.
Microsoft has marketed the new operating system hard with television ads prominent on most TV stations. They also have offered a free upgrade to all users running Windows 7 Home and Professional Service Pack 1 and Windows 8 Home and Professional users running the Windows 8.1 update. In order to download the upgrade, you may have to manually run Windows update. Users who qualify for the free upgrade also have 1 year to install their free upgrade.
As with every operating system launch, there are sure to be bugs so it may be a good idea to wait a couple of months for Microsoft to release updates to fix the bugs.
